Things To Know
(AKA: Rules)
Welcome to the Lakes Bluegrass Festival (LBF) being held at the beautiful Lakes Music and Events Park (LMEP), both owned and operated by the Pine River Area Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization! We are so thankful for your support.
Below are a few details and rules we want to bring to your attention so we can make the festival safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Wrist Bands Required: The Lakes Bluegrass Festival is a paid event. You must have and wear a wristband to be anywhere on the grounds. Wristbands may be purchased at the Front Gate at the north end of the Park or at Festival Headquarters near the Food Court.
Coolers: Coolers must be kept at your vehicle or at your campsite. You may bring a beverage or snacks with you into the concert area—just no coolers.
Concert Area Etiquette: Please – Keep your conversations in the concert area to a minimum length and volume during performances. It is best to have those conversations between band set ups or step to the back where you won’t bother people listening to the music.
Please – No cell phone conversations in concert area.
Please – Remove large hats.
Please – No sun umbrellas.
Please – No high-back chairs that are taller than your head when seated.
Please – Keep your children quiet and with you.
Concert Area Chairs Policy: If you leave your chair in the concert area unattended, you are granting permission for someone else to sit in your chair in your absence. If someone is using your chair in your absence, ask them to please vacate your chair when you return. If you do not want others sitting in your chair when you are absent, please take your chair with you when you leave the concert area.
People Mover Shuttle: The people mover is available to help those needing assistance get to and from the concert area. Shuttle stops have signs and are designated on the site map—Front Gate, Concert Area and several others as designated. Riders must be seated before the shuttle can move. Golf carts are to assist the handicapped and will be located by the shuttle stops. They are also used by volunteers to perform their duties. If you need assistance, please use the people mover rather than flagging down a golf cart.
Garbage and Recycling: Please put your garbage in the receptacles provided. There is a dumpster on the north and south ends of the park and cans by the Front Gate, Concert Area and Food Court. Please note that our waste service provider cannot accommodate recycling for this event. If you choose to recycle, please take your recyclables with you when you leave.
Camping and Extended Camping: On-site camping may be purchased in advance at the Lakes Bluegrass Festival website or at the Front Gate with a weekend ticket, subject to availability. There are three types of campsites: Electric (reservable), Non- electric (reservable) and Primitive (first come, first served). Please pay for extra nights at the Festival Headquarters (by the Food Court).
WiFi Usage: We offer free WiFi at the Park for your convenience. Although we love to have you post pictures of the festival to social media, please limit this during peak usage times (like during breaks) to reduce bandwidth usage, or use your cell phone or a hot spot for pictures. And please, no streaming of audio or video. Your cooperation will help us to be able to continue this service for free.
Pets: Pets must be on a leash at all times and are not allowed in the Concert Area. You must clean up after your pet. If your pet makes excessive noise or is aggressive, you will be asked to remove it from the festival grounds. Please check with the Pine River Chamber of Commerce for pet boarding options in the area.
Golf Carts/ATVs/UTVs: You may use your own golf cart provided you stay on the roads, are 18+ and older with a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Absolutely no golf carts in the Concert Area. ATVs and UTVs are not allowed to be operated anywhere within the LMEP except for authorized use by Festival Staff Members.Drivers: Unlicensed drivers of any motorized vehicles anywhere within the LMEP is prohibited.
Speed Limit: The speed limit on all LMEP roads is 10 mph. Please follow all traffic signs within the par.
Other: No illegal drugs will be tolerated. Absolutely NO FIREWORKS. Alcohol in moderation is permitted; however, no unruly behavior will be tolerated—especially any disruptions during the live performances in the Concert Area. All other rules are similar to previous years and will be in the material you will receive at the front gate.
